Passport Travel, a Melbourne-based travel company, was divided into several divisions catering for a diverse range of clientele - from students on gap-year holidays to retirees exploring the far reaches of the globe. One of the most popular of their unique offerings was a selection of epic rail journeys across Asia, the Middle East and Russia.

Variously referred to as 'Russia Rail Journeys' and 'Trans-Mongolian Rail Journeys', these guided tours explored a vast area and included many diverse pathways across the continent. The website required a single map solution detailing all rail journeys in one application. This map by BRANDesign evolved over time and served the purpose for several years.
