Excelsior Tooling Co. is an Australian company that manufactures and markets a range of custom-made mechanics’ tool cabinets.
Through their involvement with boutique auto garages and classic car restoration businesses, the partners discovered an unfulfilled market opportunity in bringing back 50s-style garage cabinetry and making it not only utilitarian – but aesthetically pleasing. Customers wanted their storage solutions to be as beautifully presented as their classic vehicles.
BRANDesign was fortunate to be consulted on the development of the Excelsior concept from the moment of its inception. The business owners while passionate about the visual language they wanted to convey, allowed a wide degree of creative latitude through every initiative.
The development of the brand was a broad brief that included iconography, product design, modeling and visualisation, illustration, print collateral, web development, signage and 3D printing.
